I think you're a mile off! They want people to skirt the system as this creates tea money. We all have opinions but I've seen things close up.

and the same rules apply! Yes, you might meet all the requirements but the agent in front of you or pushing in from behind with 20 passports in their hands or 20 applications for whatever it may be will take priority.

As do I. I just feel in the last 10 years, looking at Thailand in isolation, they have increased bureaucracy to push people towards using an agent for 1. Smoothing things over if requirements are not met 2. The cost of an agent is cheaper than losing a day of your time to bureaucracy. Either way, the people in uniforms get paid, those jobs and promotions don't come cheap!

That's the point of using an agent then isn't it! I'm convinced there are so many requirements to encourage both those who can meet the requirements and those that can't to use agents, we ALL know why!
