you only get 2 border runs in a calendar year and they are going to deny you soon. Also, if you don't have 500k, you need to go back and make some money. There is something call a career. Take care of it before you have your cake. Thailand is not a place to be without money.

I already told you, I'd rather pay the agent for the paperwork and let my money make money in America.

it's 10k baht for 5 years. They stamp you in for 6 months and you have to leave the country. When you re-enter, they give you another 6 months. So you can come and go for 5 years.

Well, it is a business decision to pay them anything under 30k total. I'd rather leave the 800k at home and earn 4.6% on money market rate which comes to around

baht a year. After tax it might be 30k. If you leave the 800k in a Thai bank, it is dead money

the Thais always test the water on how much they can scam you. I always speak Thai to them first to let them know how much they can get away with it.

I heard each embassy gets a certain amount of DTV approval. Once they are above it then the program is over. I don't think the DTV will be there in 5 years but I am sure I can find a Thai girl to marry in 5 years lol.

I was bitter when the Elite visa rejected me. Now I have made my peace and the joke is on them. They lost a tremendous amount of money this year by raising their prices.

Blessing in disguise because I paid 10k instead of 400k.

I wasn't going to pay 400k baht before trying to figure out if Thailand was right for me. So, I was on a student visa for a year.
