Hi, I am doing my first 90 day reporting. My landlord filed my Tm30 for me but I visited Phuket for 4 days for holiday in May, do you think the hotel filed a new TM 30 for me. I don't want to go to immigration and get rejected. Also what documents do I need in Bangkok? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When doing your first 90-day reporting in Thailand after a stay in Phuket, it's important to confirm if your hotel filed a TM30 form on your behalf. If they made a copy of your passport, they likely filed one; however, if not, you may not need a new filing. It's advisable to have your landlord file a TM30 to ensure compliance. Immigration procedures may vary by province, and in some cases, reporting your return to the original immigration office is necessary. Some recommend attempting online reporting first to avoid potential issues at the office.

Try to report online first, if rejected get your TM30 and do it in person

Years ago, after staying at the same hotel several times, and getting to be known, the staff no longer asked for my passport. It the last few years the same staff asks for it everytime, so the situation changes. Last 2 times, during the 90 report, I asked the IO, and he said something to the effect that one had to report back if one stayed at a different province. He did not say the landlord had to file again, but we just had to update them by checking in and telling them "I'm back home Mom". Of course, who wants to go the imm office and get trampled by a mob? Do they have a drive-thru? Good luck!

It may be slightly different in the different provinces. I had been on a weekend trip to the neighboring province, and a month later I was reporting to my home province.

I was still registered with Immigration in the neighboring province and was told to approach immigration there.

I told them that I still lived in the same place, after which I was fined 2000 Baht for not reporting my return from the neighboring municipality.

I managed the matter by explaining that I was on my way home and just wanted to report my return.

When asked where I had spent the night in the intervening time, I replied that I had been on a motorcycle camping trip and spent the night in my tent around the national parks.

They took that explanation for good goods, and I escaped further prosecution and kept my 2000 Baht.

Most probably not

If the place you stayed in Phuket made a copy of your passport then they filed a TM30 on you, and you should have your landlord file another one to be safe. If where you stayed in Phuket didn't make a copy of your passport then they didn't file a TM30, and you don't need a new one.

I stayed at the Hoiday Inn in Phuket and they did take a copy of my passport. Do you think I should ask my Landlord to file a new TM30 before I go to immigration just to be safe.

yes. The immigration office you are supposed to visit is the one closest to your address on the current TM30. If the TM30 on file doesn't match then they will refuse your 90 day report until it is corrected.
