Yes, but the more, the better...Plus payments from the platform into your bank account for at least 3 months. 6 months better.

Thank you for posting Julie.

I am in the same boat, teaching with Preply online and living in Thailand.

I am planning to try to get the DTV in Hanoi soon. Thanks to your post I will include more info from Preply, like the earnings spreadsheet.

Did you get any questions about previous work history or Tax?

There are new regulations regarding transfers. Its best to transfer under 50,000 baht per transaction.

There are more controls on incoming transfers above 50,000 Baht. Best to transfer amounts less than that.

Sorry, I mean the DTV (digital nomad) visa. But its interesting that people don't seem to use the self employed route.

Hi all,

Big picture.

I was wondering if anyone else has gone down the self employed company structure route in Thailand, if they are teaching on an international platform?

Hi Brandon,

Just to qualify my position a bit.

I have a Thai wife who could own 51%.

My tax liability would be very reasonable compared to Falangland.

Thanks for your thoughts

Thanks Brandon,

It just seems like a hassle to go in and out every six months.

And I still have to pay Thai tax.

Thanks for your info guys, much appreciated.

I am sure there are others in the same position as me.

My personal situation is as follows;

I am registered to pay tax in Thailand.

I have lived here years and have a Thai wife who could own 51% of the shares.

If I get a DTV, I think I have to go out and come back every six months, and I still have to pay Thai tax. Its a reasonable option.

I was wondering if anyone else is teaching using an international platform and has gone down the self employed route?
