My experience has been i need to be in the 15,000 to 20,000 tbh withdrawal range or they will tell me to use the machines.

Doron Azulay evidently yes nothing new on a 30 day exempt. On the 60 day its not new just the enforcement of the showing sufficient funds is new. Seems predominantly in some consulates frequented by border bouncers. Friend in UK and another in US both needed the proof of funds for the METV. UK was last August, US the prior Feb.

i took my passport and lease and went with my friend. 10 minutes max. This was chiang mai. Do it within 24 hours of their arrival.
