hello

I received my DTV visa in November. I received my visa approval in Vientiane, Laos, in November through the Discover Thai Nature seminar program. The visa process was very quick.

I received an interview request five days after applying on the embassy website, and the visa approval email arrived three hours after my interview.

The Discover Thai Nature seminar

They gave me a lot of great advice.

And here are some tips: The interview in Vientiane, Laos, is very simple.

Why did you apply for this seminar? Why did you apply for the DTV visa? A How do you plan to cover your living expenses?

Most of the questions were basic.

One tip: When you first meet your interviewer, smile and greet them with a Thai bow. Your interviewer is a person with a Thai background, and this small gesture shows respect for their culture and will make a good impression early on in the interview.

They'll definitely love it.

For the remaining questions, I recommend practicing answering the questions already posted here on the DTV group and in Chatgpt. I'm grateful to the DTV community for sharing their experiences during my visa preparation. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Hi everyone! I’m planning my move from the U.S. to Thailand later this year and would love some advice from those who’ve already made the leap. What are some important things to consider or take care of before the move and shortly after arriving?

Specifically wondering about:

• Should I bring electrical adapters or buy them there?

• Is it better to change my phone to an international plan or get a Thai SIM card?

• Should I get health insurance before leaving the U.S. or wait until I’m in Thailand?

• Any essentials I should pack that are hard to find there?

• Any unexpected surprises or tips you wish you’d known ahead of time?

Thanks so much in advance for sharing your wisdom!”**
