what if you’re not staying in paid accommodation but with a significant other, etc.? Also, it seems a bit ridiculous to force a visitor to have everything planned out and paid for in advance. The backpacker crowd certainly doesn’t do that.
Everyone here always talks about the airline asking for proof of onward travel. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve never been asked by the airline. That was pre-covid when I was using tourist visas, so maybe things changed? On the other hand, the consulate can and will ask to see onward travel when you apply for the 60 day. Also, I always booked a flight 90 days out, no problem.
how is it “respecting” them by going along with their paranoia? If they want to wear one, fine. That’s their option. I opt not to unless I’m sick. Then, I would respect everyone by wearing one.
