Hello,

I am planning to move to Thailand with my partner in April, and I am currently applying for a DTV visa on the official website. However, I am being asked to provide my flight number and accommodation details, but I was planning to book these after receiving my visa. Is it normal to have to provide this information at this stage of the application?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Good afternoon. I'm arriving into BKK next week. 2 months VISA exempt. Last time I flew from Paris, they wanted proof of return ticket. I haven't got one as I intend to visit Laos, Vietnam as well and then return to Thailand. I've already booked accommodation in laos before my 60 days is up. Foes anyone know if I show proof of this whether airlines accept it. Air india this time

What have people used for "Document indicating current location"? If you're going to a neighboring country to put the application through?

Hi there,

Hopefully this makes sense …

If I upload a booking of 6 months for accomadation, but I don’t end up staying at that accomadation, will there be problems on the 90 day check ins - has anyone had any experience with this?

Thank you for any help! 😊

METV London processing time. Applied via the website on Tuesday 17th September 0700 hours. Approved Sunday 22nd September 1930 hours. That’s 6 days, well pleased with that.

Info uploaded; PDF showing return flight from London and also two return flights during this stay to other Asian countries. PDF showing all accommodation booked via Agoda. PDF showing utility bill and TV licence bill.

Note that when I made the payment the website showed an error, however when I checked the visa card statement at my end, I noticed that the payment was pending and actually it did go through, so just be aware that this could happen to you and don’t panic if you get an error message.

Next step is to set up a GoFundMe website to pay for this lot - joking.

My partner and I are planning to enter Thailand using the 60 day visa exemption (uk). Do we need to prove anything to get to be granted that?

I’m aware that we will need to show onward travel and we are planning to use one of the ticket generator websites for that as we are unsure when (obviously within the 60/90days) we are going to do that. Do we need to provide anything else, and if so which documents will we need?

G’day all, first time visitor, after some basic info, leaving from Perth WA, do I need to organise visa here or do it on arrival?, best way to access my money? (ie my card, travellers cheque, open a Thai account) as I’m arriving around Xmas, am I better to book well in advance my hotels or just wing it?…and finally regarding vaccinations ie malaria etc…worth while getting done? Or just wing it again……cheers 🍻

Hey everyone just seeking some advice please. I fly to bangkok on 17th Nov and my flight back to Scotland is 31st jan.

I am wanting to leave the country and visit Cambodia, bali or Vietnam anyway but confused with the rules. I know I can get a 60 day tourist visa but I won’t be in a position to pay for my first hotel till a couple of weeks before I leave (due £ in), I also won’t have my other flight to the neighbouring country booked as I’m going with the flow and wanted to decide where to visit once I arrived in Thailand.

Will I be okay to either;

1. Travel without any visa then halfway through for 17 days and return and get the other 30 days visa free or

2. Apply for the 60 day tourist visa and then extend without paying for any hotels in advance of my application?

I’m away for 77 days.

Hope this makes sense and any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks 😊
