Does anyone know if there is a time limit that the DLT will accept a residence certificate to apply for a driving licence.
I'm getting an residence certificate tomorrow to open a bank account . Would the DLT accept a residence certificate that is a week or 2 old ?
Also would I need 1 or 2 residence certs to apply for both car and motorbike licence ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses whether the Department of Land Transport (DLT) in Thailand accepts residence certificates that are one or two weeks old for applying for a driving license, and how many certificates are needed for both car and motorbike licenses. Comments indicate that a residence certificate is generally valid for 30 days, and that separate certificates may be needed for a bank account and driver's license. It was also noted that the DLT may accept an original certificate along with a photocopy when applying for both licenses simultaneously.
thanks Charles . I'm going to get 2 RC's just incase the bank keeps it . It will work out cheaper and easier as it's about 200k round trip for the licences.
If your applying at the same time for car and bike the DLT will accept the original C of R and a photocopy. However immigration will tell you that you need two C of Rs - you donβt.
thank you . I was planning on getting 2 CR from immigration tomorrow as long as it won't expire in 7 days . May as well ask for 3 going by what Virgile posted π
