and even meeting all these requirements is no guarantee. Especially if they don’t even look at the documents. That’s what happened to my girlfriend, twice!

And that really irks me. They have useless, made up languages like Klingon and High Valerian, but no Thai?

Rosetta Stone does have Thai, at least back when I first started to learn it. But it’s crap. They say a word in Thai and show a picture of a 🤡 , so you think the word means clown but it doesn’t. It means funny.

Bangkok Bank is no longer showing a transfer as being foreign, even if “funds for long term stay in Thailand is selected on Wise. That’s my experience anyway.

what if you’re not staying in paid accommodation but with a significant other, etc.? Also, it seems a bit ridiculous to force a visitor to have everything planned out and paid for in advance. The backpacker crowd certainly doesn’t do that.

Everyone here always talks about the airline asking for proof of onward travel. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve never been asked by the airline. That was pre-covid when I was using tourist visas, so maybe things changed? On the other hand, the consulate can and will ask to see onward travel when you apply for the 60 day. Also, I always booked a flight 90 days out, no problem.
