I am Aussie. My last 2 trips to Thailand I got 90 day tourist E-Visa in Australia as I wished to stay longer than 60 days. The 90 days starts upon arrival. However your passport gets stamped on arrival at airport or where ever for 60 days which may now be reduced to 30 days. Before expiry of the

day tourist visa go to immigration to have your visa extended to 90 days with your approved E-Visa.

I have now applied for LTR-WP visa & was approved. This allows me multi entry into Thailand for 10 years. Now, no more heart ache.

I have recently come to Thailand on 90 day E-Visa secured from Thai embassy in Australia. The visa is valid for 90 days from date of issue. When you arrive in Thailand immigration will only stamp it for the standard 60 days. Not 90 days. Before the 60 days expires you will need to go Thai immigration & get your visa extended from 60 day to 90 day. Immigration will want to know where staying etc. Please refer my pic of passport stamp.

Hi John

I have just arrived in Thailand 2 weeks ago from Aus on 90 day E- Visa.

What is process for long term visa in Thai. Do I need to be outside Thailand to apply? Ideally I would to get before I leave as I plan 2 or 3 visits to Thailand next year.
