I agree. The gold and cash reserves alone in Thailand this last two years are at historical highs so they have the means to keep the currency propped up.
have they always asked for funds to apply for a Non O or is it new for the evisa. I have lived in Thailand coming up to 9 years and only been back in the UK two weeks and am sure friends on the Non O said they were never asked to show proof of money. I have had to quickly open a new UK bank account as we moved all our money to Thailand years ago.
