I think freelancer have to proof their work with a portfolio showcasing skills, work samples, maybe income? Contacting the embassy is the best option.

No need to upload an actual plane ticket. I had to provide just the date of arrival and the flight number.

I haven't found anything on the embassy website in Australia that it has to be mentioned. So in my contract that phrase is not included. It does make sense to have it included, probably could have asked my employer to change the contract.

Thailand is not mentioned in the contract. What is mentioned is, that I perform my duites remotely (I am a system administrator), weekly zoom calls (with company during Australian work hours), and flexible work hours.
