I married my Thai girlfriend this year after arriving on a 30 day visa waiver and a 30 day extension. I opened a bank account while there and on my return to my home country, I deposited 400,000 baht into my Thai bank account. When I return to Thailand, the 400,000 baht will have been in my account for over the minimum 2 months Na Jomtien Immigration require before applying for a 1 year extention based on marriage to a Thai national. My question is: If I arrive back in Thailand on the 30 days visa waiver with an option to extend for another 30 days, will this give me sufficient time to get the "marriage" visa, or as some seem to suggest, do I need to apply in my own country before arrival? All info gratefully received. Cheers
