The annual deals with a new sim are the best by far! Data and some calls included... Speeds and amount varies, but 1500-1600 should suffice.

No messing with top up and extending number etc is another bonus...

The 6:6 sale on lazada might save a bit extra...

An agent will sort you out for a fee.... This is the best I know

Check out prices on Taladrod.com and one2car.... Most cars will be Bangkok, but the dealer will sort the transfer so relatively painless.

As Stuart says... But also be careful at the airports, I've heard of several occasions people buying what they thought were longterm deals and they only lasted a few a days in reality.

Get a sim and top up, install the app and browse the deals... Take a deal shorter or less than need, you will be bombarded with offers to extend or improve your deal....

You don't need a resident cert for a sim, only ID to register.

Check out the annual deals for a thai sim. Some great deals on data and calls for duration...

We used these via lazada...

It's a guess.. Like all the above, but I'd say no.... The tourists numbers coming in are on their arse, so who knows?? Anything could happen.. TiT!

Resets and must be done in person, not online...

There seems to be doubt on year long deals/sims... Yes there many deals that have a full year and they are great deals. I got one for my son 1350baht, 30mbs unlimited and free calls to dtac. Many similar on lazada etc...

In this case I suspect it may have been a bit of a scam, I've heard of these deals sold in shops as 12 months and only are infact only a short term deal, some as short a week! This was happening at the subvarnibumi phone shops especially due to the customer being long gone.... 😉
