TLDR : Answer Summary
The community consensus is that Thailand is unlikely to extend the visa exemption program again this year. The previous extension was a temporary measure to boost tourism after COVID-19, and with current tourism levels and no discussions on changes, many believe it will not happen unless economic circumstances dictate otherwise. For now, travelers arriving under visa exemption can still stay for 30 days and extend for an additional 30 days for a fee.

It's a guess.. Like all the above, but I'd say no.... The tourists numbers coming in are on their arse, so who knows?? Anything could happen.. TiT!

Are there any visa extension agents on here to help with form filling and other criteria needed based in Bangkok. I will be travelling on a visa free waiver and will want to extend for another 30 days in July.
I'm assuming you mean visa-exempt, as visa-waiver are not eligible for extension. Easy to do yourself. Make an appointment at IT Square, fill in the form when you get there - it's very simple - pay 1900 baht, in and out in about 30 minutes
Everyone in the tourism business thought it was a great idea to have 45 days. The Thai government and immigration police don't agree. The only way this will be implemented again (IMHO) is if the economy goes into a tail spin again. But you can still enter for 30 days visa-free and extend another 30 days when you're here so that's 60 days for 1,900 baht.
actually the 45 day visa exempt program was put in place during the beginning of the covid quarantine days, so people that had to stay in quarantine did not lose their full 30 days of vacation time a normal visa exempt stamp gave them. It was kept in place after that to help tourism through the high season.
no. It only lasted about 2 months during covid and after quarantine ended so did the 45 days for well over a year. The most recent incarnation was purely for tourism.
