Why am I being rejected for my 90-day reporting online in Thailand?

More problems with 90 day reporting online...

Twice I've been rejected previously for 'first report to be done in person...' even though I've been here nearly 10 years and never left the country?

Today a new one..! Rejected.. 'can only be submitted 15 days before until due date' even though I was exactly 7 days before, bang in the middle of required range??🤔

Thai IT and bureaucracy will never cease to amaze me...

TLDR : Answer Summary
Expats face significant issues with Thailand's online 90-day reporting system, with many experiencing repeated rejections despite following the guidelines. Some users mention that changes in the system have made it difficult to report online successfully, while others speculate that rejections may be arbitrary or part of an outdated process. It has been noted that the timeframe for submissions has changed and now may only allow reporting 15 to 8 days before the due date, complicating the process further for those unfamiliar with current rules. Others recommend direct communication with immigration officers for clarification, suggesting that the online system often leads to confusion and frustration.

"15 days before until due date" is the old timeframe, it's 15 - 8 days before (!) due now... since about Covid if I'm not totally wrong. So... you were too late with 7 days before, hence rejected.

if that's correct why does it say that on the actual website?? I was actually 8 days before my due date too.

Also the immigration website doesn't say anything about this 8 day limit?

I've done many reports online in the last week.

I was rejected online

When I went to immigration in person and asked the officer why I was rejected

He said all 90 online reporting goes to Bangkok and they just reject many

Just another way for some

Thai officials to make things hard for the hated falangs !

I always get notified when to do my 90 days, just then go to website, and latest next day confirmed, did it a week ago.

I had 2 years plus of no problem... 3 out of my last 4 wrongly rejected, 2 passed when resubmitted admittedly?

I had been doing my 90-day reports online without any problems.. then i suddenly faced repeated rejections on the next one.. which i couldn't understand.. so i went to do it in person and enquired about this issue.. i was told that if i had recently travelled out of the country and returned.. thereby re-setting my reporting date.. the system would only let me do it online on the exact day it was due.. and i could only do it early or late if i did it 'in person'.. which was the reason for my online submissions being rejected.. however, i was told that after that one i could revert to early or late reporting using the online system again.. or that i should just stick to doing it on the exact date!

I got rejected twice for that even though I never left..

Every time you go out, it is first time again report in person. Then on line again.

That was not the explanation i was given at all.. they said travelling removes ability to do early/late online.. if i did it online on the exact reporting date it would have been accepted.. whereas i tried early and it failed!

Returning from abroad and your next 90 days report has to be done in person. After that you can do it online again. That's how it officially works, but the online system isn't always working 100%.

I've twice been rejected online for '1st one in person' and I haven't left the country in almost 10 years

Sounds like something they’ve made up!

Mine was OK until recently. Have tried all permutations but can only conclude they’ve changed something (wrongly) at their end, hence I can no longer match my input with their records.

it's never worked for me either. When ask at Immigration "Why", they just say "Easy to come here." Easy for them. They're there anyway!

It’s a 170 km round trip for me. Don’t drive so it’s two skylabs and a bus/van.
