@Ian *****
your money needs to be in 2 months before and several months after.. Your money needs to be in there by May... If it's in Bangkok bank they hold it for 3 months after too.

You need to send your funds in good time for your visa.. Why not send in monthly amounts to show activity?

both tm30 and 20k cash have been years... And years. And I dare say that nobody has just been refused for just for 20k..its usually the excuse for an acculative of issues.. The recent woman is just such as an example..

More complicated? If anything it's got easier... Remember all the 'issue' posts you are seeing... All the 'smooth and easy ' ones your mostly not and these vastly out number the troubled ones... It's only when people have issues they tend to post...

Where's is this only 2 exempt entries per year stated officially??

I thought it was 2 extentions per year? And then only if entries from another country by air.. (not after returning home)....

So this means someone comes say Jan for 2 weeks and August for a couple of weeks.. Can't come for Christmas for example?? Seems counter intuitive to me and stopping genuine tourism...

I think you can only do your initial retirement on 800k due too been unable to get the supporting documents.. maybe it's different at different immigration offices. But you don't say where your applying?

Your post is confusing and lacks relevance information... But from what I can make out, an agent is your only option....

again.. The 180 'rule of thumb' only applied to people doing visa runs... If your returning to your home country your obviously regarded differently and this is backed up in the rules because it applies to extensions and people not returning home.. Show me where the 180 rule is clarified? I agree if your entry will be 157 days you will be regarded as trying to stay longterm and will have potential trouble... But the absolute ceiling of 180 days?? I don't that will apply to a genuine tourist returning home and coming back some time later.
