I was in Thailand in January and July this year. I didn't do the extension and flew back to the UK before the 60 days on both occasions. I am planning to fly back to Thailand end of the month and planning to stay for less than 8 weeks. Will this be OK or is it best to get a tourist visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can return to Thailand for less than 8 weeks without a tourist visa after having visited twice earlier this year. Community responses suggest that it should be fine, though it is at the discretion of immigration officials. Many users report no issues with similar travel patterns, indicating that genuine tourists are not typically scrutinized tightly.
as many visa exempts allowed if you stay under the 180 days. And yes, only 2 extensions as from 2 weeks ago. One time 30 days and another for 7 days. I know it all.
Im hear now on my 4th vist this year . I stayed a month in March, 2weeks in may 3weeks in August and arrived on 22 November. I always filled the TDAC form out on line , I return on the 5th af January after the new year , I've had no issues so far
You will be ok as you are obviously a genuine tourist ,it is people that are going out and back into Thailand many times only staying out for 1 day then returning, this is what they are clamping down on not genuine tourists
You will be fine. I am here now and this is my 3rd visit this year. We had no issues at all entering. The previous 2 visits we stayed less than 60 days and returned to our country of residence.
doesn’r really matter mate. It is at the discretion of the individual IO, so the same situation can be treated differently by different IOs. If she has already done two visa free entries in same calendar year, the safest option is to simply get a tourist visa.
It's probably okay. But it will be at the discretion of the immigration officer. It only takes a few minutes to apply for a tourist visa online, so if you want to be safe, I would go ahead and do it.
I’m in the same situation as you. So I applied for a multi entry E-visa valid for 6 months. It cost £150. I applied for it on the Monday, I got a reply on Tuesday saying they wanted more info & better pictures I got the visa late Friday.
