I used to have a volunteer visa. After that they changed it to a covid visa (i don't know the name). Then I had to leave Thailand, no other option possible.

cannot, I tried everything. Even when I went to the immigration I was already on overstay. They didn't care at all...

anyway, it's an option. Maybe he doesn't plan to come back in the next 5 years. I stayed 2 weeks on overstay, nothing wrong happened to me. Just pay at the airport...
