I'm from France. Ihave a question concerning the mutli entry tourist visa. Is it possible to enter in Thailand, stay 2 months (with extension), get out through the border 2 times and get 2 more months (with extension) each time with the same visa ?
Thanks !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the feasibility of utilizing a multi-entry tourist visa (METV) to stay in Thailand for extended periods. Responses confirmed that it is possible to enter Thailand, stay for 60 days, extend for another 30 days, and repeat this process multiple times, potentially allowing for a stay of up to 9 months. Additionally, there were discussions around the slow processing times reported by users applying for visas at the Thai embassy in Paris.
We've had nothing but terrible reports about the Thai embassy in Paris. Taking months to process applications, no communication, etc. It will be very hard for you to plan your trip if you're using the embassy in Paris because the visa starts the day it's issued.
South Korea Thai embassy took almost 3 weeks to give me a SETV with US passport while staying in SK. It felt like very slow service based on all my documentation was complete in the first 2 days. December 2023
Yes this is possible. It's the trick you could use to stay in Thailand with a supposed tourism travel purpose beyond the point where other modes tend to run into problems entering (or obtaining new SETV). Theoretically you could reach up to 270 days in the country if you properly time your last entry.
Yes on each entry (60 days) you can extend once for another 30 days. Although you donβt need to extend, you can just leave and return for another 60 days if you wish.
Leave and enter just before the visa expires and youβll get 60 days and you can extend that once to get nearly 9 months from that visa.
