Its impt to have a insurance in thailand if you want to use the private hospitals. The service is great, equipment world class but expensive. Learned the hard way about not getting it earlier cos as we age, we accumulate more problems that results in exclusions.

Just tell him you wanna scan and pay. The qr will be generated in the credit card terminal. If you ask for promptpay or qr, the answer is probaby no.

its easier at your embassy. My charged me 150 baht and the cert was issued in 3 hours. All they need was a rental contract or a phone bill, utilities bill sent to your house

If the car is under financing, u need finance company approval as well. Its a pain, cross the border and rent another car

How to get an address for opening bank account: 1) Find someone you trust, 2) register for post paid mobile line under your name using the address of the person u trust, remember dont get any promo package with lockin, 3) wait for your monthly bill to be sent, 4) get the monthly bill with your name sent to the address of person u trust ( u need to trust the person enough such that she will give you your bill or you waste one month waiting for nothing), 5) use this to open bank account, 6) last step cancel the post paid mobile plan, unless u need it of course.
