Of course you will need a Vietnam visa to enter their country. That goes for you & your girlfriend, irrespective of which passport you may have.

the airline doesnt require it. The return flight ticket is asked by the thai immigration when you are entering. I have been in and out almost 4-5 times last year, and each time they asked for it at Bangkok airport immigrations. Then it was 15 days visa on arrival..

previous occassions when i got the 15 day visa on arrival, they always asked me to show the return flight ticket.

the purpose behind this new visa regulation was to promote investment and for people to bring in their money, resulting in increased expenditure within Thailand. The economy has not been doing well in the past year, and it needed a boost. This was one way to make foreigners bring in their money and spend it in Thailand. The more the merrier..!!

i know it started a week ago....ie from 15th July, but my question is, till when will this 60 days visa be available. Is this going to he an ongoing visa scheme, or will then stop issuing this free 60 days visa on arrival after few months..?

do you have any idea till when this 60 day visa will be available. I need to travel in Nov or Dec, and need to stay in Thailand for 50-60 days.
