I was a CC user for most transactions as far back as I could remember. Once I started using ATM cards, I never regretted it. Now I exclusively use ATM and CCs.

There is no need for a bank account. For all cash transactions where CCs are not accepted, I now use an ATM to withdraw cash. However, I prefer CC for all my transactions including , Big C, Lotus, restaurants, etc. My ATM fees are reimbursed. A better option is to get a couple of ATM cards that reimburse all ATM fees and a few CCs with no international charges.

I think Myanmar may be safer because not many people go there and they are not going to become stricter soon. Taipei saw a sudden surge in the DTV applications and now wanted to put some quality control.
