TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) allows entry to Thailand within 5 years of the visa's issuance. Users can enter anytime before the visa expires, typically on the last day of its validity.

You can arrive whenever you want until it expires. 🙃

The sooner the better.😂

Yes, when does the visa expire? That’s the last day of possible entry.

So with careful planning the visa could be 5 years 179 days. Like the METV could be more than 8 months

you have to remember that it’s 180 days per period, so the reality is 180+180 extension (if you stay in country) bounce same day. Another 360 same way so you would be about 25 days less. But if you leave for a vacation then the number change.

But any sensible person would bounce before the 5 years is up 😉

@Kevin *******
So like the METV you come in before last expiry date and get 180 days

You applied for a DTV, got it but don't know anything about it. Really?

no one needs that kind of vibe. Let me guess, you didn't get one and are jealous now? Can't imagine why else such a comment is necessary. 😥

They don't know, so what? There are visas out there where you actually have to arrive within a certain time frame (no, not the expiration date but earlier). Bet you didn't know that?

If you are applying for a specific visa, you should know what you need it for. The DTV has been discussed hundreds of times in this forum and there is just as much information about it. So I think it is unnecessary to keep asking about something that we have already received an answer to hundreds of times. And no, I am not jealous because I cannot get one, I have been living in Thailand for many years on a different visa.
