in my case phone number was under my passport and bank account under my passport. All my info, all me but that still was not enough to avoid an app freeze !

yes, absolutely, only foreigners have these issues. Thai citizens can open a bank account online. Today TTB in Korat said now they help only those foreigners who have work permit. No one else accepted.

yes, that is the way to go now. Wireless company wants a top up to the account so they can use the slip to give an account verification letter to unlock bank apps
