How old are you?

Are you an American citizen?

When returning to LOS; do have 20,000 baht $€£ in cash, confirmed accommodation booking and an onward ticket within the time limit of your entry.

YMMV

I used to recommend Krung Sri, but recently a bloke posted he was not allowed to open N account there.

Bangkok Bank seems to be it on tourist visas, accompanied by a rental agreement & may require purchasing insurance, too

The three proofs are required, mate.

Regardless of whether you're asked to show them or not, regardless of a sign in the airport---> the three proofs are required.

People without them have been denied entry. End of story.

Another hurdle will be obtaining a Thai bank account if you haven't one now.

Each branch has their own singular requirements or restrictions. Bangkok Bank seems to be easiest now based on previous reports here, but as I don't use them, I'll leave it to others to advise you.

You'll get through it, with a bit of patience, do persevere as it's not rocket surgery to sort one's visa by yourself.

Reckon it's a 5% tarrif as it's likely on the sensitive list of imports.
