Hello. I got to Bankok last month without a visa. I will be back to the U.S. around April 20. After, I leave the country in the mid of December by air, I will have 4 months left when I come back. So, my question is if anyone has any experience entering the country 3 times in a row by air at Bkk airport with no visa. I was thinking even if I get 2 or 6 months tr visa, I will have to do a visa run with it or without it. But, if I don't get a visa, maybe they are gonna say 3 times in a row is too much and deny the entry. So, what do you guys think?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the possibility of re-entering Thailand multiple times without a visa, particularly after having previously entered without one. Several commenters share their experiences regarding entry without a visa and provide tips such as ensuring sufficient time away between entries and carrying a return ticket. There's a clarification on the visa exemption rules, with recent changes that allow longer stays for certain passport holders. General advice includes being prepared for varying experiences based on the immigration officer's discretion.

i have since May 2022 entered 5 times visa exempt with a mix of Bangkok and Chiang Mai and never any questions. Keep in mind I usually am out of the country for 3 weeks in between

I believe that is the key. Actual time away from Thailand, and different addresses on arrival.

I've flown in 3 times this year including having two covid extensions, and was only questioned on the 3rd time. Really depends on how the immigration officer feels on the day, first couple times coming back should be no issue tho. You can always do a border run with a company if concerned tho

Much depends on the immigration officer. I did this many, many times and it was fine. However, on my return from a visa run to HK I had a terrible time in CM. I was shouted at, accused of working - I was not working - and told to get on a plane back to HK. That then seemed to change and then money had to be paid. It was a horrible experience and to be faced with 5 people shouting at me the day after a relative had died made it all the worse.

I entered 5 times visa exempt via BKK from late 2018 to August 2019 each with at least a month in between and each time with a return ticket. Never got asked a question from immigration, my final and 6th entry in October 2019 was on a one way ticket and a visa in my passport.

I'm still here and married please send a rescue team😂

How can you stay until mid December if you entered last month without a visa? That would only get you 30 days on entry which could be extended by 30 days

Still OK for me at least it seems:

'From 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, British passport holders arriving by air or land can enter Thailand for 45days without a visa (a ‘visa exemption’).'

How old are you?

Are you an American citizen?

When returning to LOS; do have 20,000 baht $€£ in cash, confirmed accommodation booking and an onward ticket within the time limit of your entry.

YMMV

I think as long as you leave for more than a day or 2 (I would personally suggest a week), then you should be fine. You DO plan on getting extensions, right?
