Hi hi! I'm coming back from Laos with entirely too much coffee. Do coffee beans over a certain amount need to be declared at customs?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about customs regulations when returning to Thailand from Laos with a significant amount of coffee beans, specifically whether there is a need to declare them and if there are limits on the quantity. Community comments suggest that there may be a tariff applicable and that the amount considered 'too much' can vary.

I think I'm sitting at between 2.5 and 3 kg of beans

no problem. That's not really that much. I hope you went into the Bolivian mountains to get the good beans.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's not 100kg at this point! 😂😂

Reckon it's a 5% tarrif as it's likely on the sensitive list of imports.
