I've met some people drivi.g East . it was a big hussle all the way .and now it's very very rare to meet people who entered Thailand with a vehicle

if you go the south route , you'll have to go through BALUCHISTAN , south Pakistan , if they let you enter Pakistan , then you'll be accompanied for your protection ,for about one week , by the local police or army .

Anyway you'll be the slave of your car all the way .
