@Robert ******
I’m getting conflicting info. I know Penang doesn’t, it appears that London didn’t and Kota Bharu is a maybe. Does anyone know Robert?

It’s a requirement now. Amongst daily limits and extensive police checks.

A significant issue here is that external embassies/consulates no longer issue the non-imm b multi’s to anyone unless they hold shares in a company. A real problem for some teachers, diving instructors and employees in general.

that’s it, hats off to the guy. Enough to put anyone off. I like the way he lists the benefits after he’s explained what to do. 🙂

Ha, I read an article about a guy trying to do this for five years, he was called before officials several times, had to sing the national anthem in Thai on more than one occasion amongst other crazy things that normal people wouldn’t bother with. He Had to jump through multiple, repetitive hoops (sounded like they wanted him to give up) The guy eventually got there with handful of others for that year. There’s an article on it somewhere in Thai visa.

I don’t think you will have a problem as you made all the right noises. Your retired so you have a regular income, you come, you spend, you go home. enjoy your retirement. 😉

Easiest solution for sure. Overstay can be risky and as Trevor said it’s not good to have it on your passport.
