While actually using the search function for this forum I discovered that a TM.28 is a change of address form I believe. So if I file the TM.30 in Bangkok would I then need to file a TM.28 in Chiang Mai?

I know, that’s what makes Thailand so crazy... and fun! But you’ve already met the financial requirement for the visa. If they ask to see 20k baht every time you come back you don’t really have an O-A visa. A stretch, even for Thailand me thinks.

I hate to apply the common sense rule as TiT but you already qualified for the O-A visa so it would make no sense for them to need to see any of the three proofs. They don’t apply to that visa after it’s been issued and while still in effect.

OP, love the post. I’m waiting on my OA to be approved before heading over in January. The OA is a multiple entry visa which is why there are no reentry requirements during the first year. Once you get that extension of stay for the second year, reentry permits are required before leaving if you want to keep that second year open. At least that’s my understanding of the process. Nice to know you can get a multi entry reentry permit for that second year. I guess that’s my next thing to learn about.
