What should I use for my visa number on the LTRVWP if I entered Thailand visa exempt?

Hello,

I‘ve reached the acceptance stage on the LTRVWP and it’s asking for my visa type and visa number. I came in visa exempt (free) an option from the drop down list, but don’t know which, if any, of the numbers on these stamps is considered a visa number. This is a required field, can’t submit without a visa number. Does anyone know which number(s) I would use as the visa number?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is trying to complete their LTRVWP application but is unsure which number to enter as their visa number since they entered Thailand visa exempt. Community members clarify that, because the user does not have a formal visa, they can input 'visa exempt' into the visa number field. One user indicates that their entry was accepted and approved using this approach, alleviating the user's concerns.

Well, I entered ‘visa exempt’ in the visa number field and it was accepted and approved. I just need to make an appointment now. A lot of worry on my part for nothing I guess. 🤷‍♂️

I suppose it’s closeable now that it’s been resolved.

I believe the hand written numbers underneath your stamp are not part of the entry stamp as my visa exempt doesn't have that.

I'm pretty sure when I did my LTR I just used the number around the edge of the stamp (I think this is the employee number that stamped you in) so use A0494 if the system will accept it.

I've attached my visa exempt stamp for reference.

Was your LTR approved or is it still sitting in purgatory?

it was approved then I had to upload my entry information and insurance and then had to start calling in to get the final approval

Thanks for the replies. As far as I can tell they’re only asking for entry information right now. Insurance stuff was sent in the original application.

if you sent that already then the entry information should be the last step. You had the option of not sending the insurance information with the original application as well.

Give it a few days (if you can). Get the 30 day extension if you haven't already. Then about 10 days before your stay runs out start calling them and tell them you're running out of time and need to finish because you're entry has almost run out. They should be sympathetic at that point and start rushing your application.

I started calling because I was going to be leaving Bangkok for a month and by the time I returned my 60 day approval would have expired. So they rushed to get mine finished and impressed me with that final sprint.

I got my 30 day extension last week and called and told them I hadn’t heard anything for months and I was on my extension. Ms. Saithip went right to work and it was approved the next day. I’ve submitted the information they need so we’ll wait and see what happens next. It’s moving in the right direction now at least.

expect it to sit again. They seem to need occasional reminders. So like I said maybe 10-15 days before your stay runs out give them another call and tell them time is almost out. They may need you to resumbit 1-2 things (they wanted me to submit my data page again even though they approved it earlier) so you want to leave a little extra time for any hiccups. But once they finally approve it's just a matter of making your appointment, going in, paying and getting your visa. Expect 2-4 hours in the office though.

You DON'T have a VISA...

As you entered Thailand VISA EXEMPT...

And you are now on a 30 day extension of stay.

Let's see if other forum members who have obtained the LTR Visa may know what you need to do.

I only saw one person post about his LTRVWP experience but the post was shut down before anyone could ask any questions. He was on an actual visa, non-o I believe, so no help from him concerning this catch-22.

I allowed the post to see if anyone has the answer.

Being a new Thai Visa, the numbers applying for and received are limited to the hundreds of expats.

Yeah, they say it’s popular but I haven’t seen that in reality.

Miraculously I’ve found them. I think I saw them before but there wasn’t a lot in there. Maybe as more people make progress in the process or actually get approved.

it's Issued numbers are several hundreds with a backlog of applications taking 2 to 3 months to process.

Thanks, I’m aware I entered visa exempt. That doesn’t fly in the required visa number box however. Since the stamps are of low quality I can’t get a good read on what they might actually say in the vicinity of the numbers.
