why " sketchy " I got my DTV via soft power quite legitimately from the Thai embassy in London . I will advise what happens when I arrive back in Thailand in the next week or so.

sit down in a quiet room...log on to the relevant visa page on the embassy website...read read and read again until you understand ...get the relevant documents fill in send back. Simple and save a lot of unnecessary spending

Found it from another post on here by the originator..." short term educational course" that was on the original schedule, and based on that, that's how I got the DTV
