Does anyone know if a language course will meet DTV2 requirements? I have read conflicting reports that some embassies accept and others do not. Also does anyone have any knowledge on DTV2 approved cooking courses. It seems quite that Muay Thai and cooking is accepted as a qualification but not learning Thai language.

Hello all!

I have some questions regarding obtaining an education visa…

I was wondering, are you supposed to apply for an education visa, and arrive with it, or should you apply for a tourist visa (or come in with a visa exempt) and then apply for an education visa once you are in Thailand. (Also is it more expensive to do it once you are inside thailand?)

Besides that, if I wanted to stay for one year, would it be possible to use the same education visa for 3 months Muay Thai, 3 months Traditional massage, and 3 months language course…. Like if I wanted to live in different locations…. Or is it simply one visa per education course and I will have to stick to o e or the other?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks🙏🏽

If i were to visit my home country and do my visa run there for an education visa for advanced Thai language course, is it possible for me to have problems at immigration upon re-entry?

Background info:

- Australian passport

- Been in Thailand since Sep. 2017

- Was using tourist visas for about 1y 3m until Immigration gave me a warning at DMK after a visa run to KL.

- So I got an Non-Immigrant Education visa

- After my 9mth. beginners thai lang. course I would like to move up to the advanced thai lang. course which requires a visa run

- Looking to visit home (🇦🇺) in approx. 3months and do my visa run at the same time

- Looking to fly direct from Kuala Lumpur KUL to Surat Thani URT on return trip to Thailand.

Is there a chance I may be denied entry even though I have a proper visa? Im not working in the country but I am mainly here for boxing.

Ive heard about immigration also questioning/testing your thai language capabilities, has anyone had this experience?

Thank you in advance for any advice! 🙂🙏🏽

ED VISA

I want to organise an ED Visa while I'm outside of Thailand next month. I will be in Indonesia but Kuala Lumpur, Cambodia or Vietnam or all possible destinations if I need to go.

Which consulate is the most straight forward? I will be doing a language course in Rayong or Pattaya.

Thanks in advance.
