....well it does say " and everything else " Just arrived in Nonthaburi for retirement from the UK. I have 2 passions...2 stroke motorcycle racing...drag racing ...kart racing...I raced karts for 40 years in the UK..last meeting 3 weeks ago and finished on a high.. I won !

Now stopped racing but would like to get involved with a race team..tuning, building 2 strokes etc..anything out there..helping only..not working.

....and clay pigeon shooting...anything around at reasonable prices.

If this is completely in the wrong site apologies...can someone point me in the right direction please....Google not coming up with much.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user has recently moved to Nonthaburi, Thailand, seeking advice on how to engage in motorcycle and kart racing after a successful 40-year karting career in the UK. They expressed interest in contributing to a race team with knowledge in tuning and building two-stroke engines, without seeking paid work. Additionally, they are looking for clay pigeon shooting activities at reasonable prices. Several comments suggest looking for racing groups on social media, visiting local circuits like Bira, and even starting a personal project involving engine development due to potential challenges in sourcing parts for existing two-stroke engines.

I believe importing 2 stroke engines were banned in 2018. Bunch of used 2 stroke bikes around, but will he hard to source parts.

that’s why he should make his own.

3D scan or CAD then outsource to a machine shop perfect the prototype then start pumping them out.

I myself would be making 500cc engines as there is a huge demand for them (kinda)

I have no advice for you my friend, but you're not totally in the wrong place. This is a pretty good 'everything else' page. Good luck to you, welcome to Thailand.

It was shifter karts I raced...had Anderson chassis amongst many others, long circuit and short circuit...all classes, 125, 250, and 210 Villiers, last few years in retro racing...getting a bit old now...but I would have carried on had I stayed in the uk...git the feeling I am going to miss it...love the sound and smell of 2 stokes

If you have extensive knowledge I’d look into designing and manufacturing your own two stroke engines, outsource some of the work you can’t do for now.

Maybe partner up with someone that shares the same passion even start your own kart brand.

I’ve always had that sort of idea in the back of my mind.

Would love a PVP or Anderson shifter kart.

Done a few track days back in Aus with my past cars and bikes and owned a Rotax 125 TopKart when I younger.

If I could do it again I wouldn’t waste my time building a track car and go straight for a shifter kart.
