my husband said the same thing ... It's weird we have 20 some pages I think but my 5 mo old passport she has like 50 pages . 😹
I get super annoyed getting stamps because they never go in order . They always jump around pages my Cambodia run is all the way in the back . And my china run is in the middle 😹
So family and I came in December . Family of 4 at the time had my baby end of January .
We had to leave because we were up in the air on dtv or work visa . So end of March we went to Cambodia from Bangkok.
Earthquake ruined our condo so we moved to Pattaya .
My husband got his work visa end of may . Because my older kids aren't his more documents were needed for the kids and I . So we just had to leave again this time we went to china.
The first time we left my husband wasn't questioned the kids weren't . But I was and the officer was so rude . I wasn't understanding what she was asking . She called me a stupid American 😹 said next time I come in to Thailand I better have a visa .
When we got back from China my husband went through with work visa no problem. Kids went through no questions asked .
I was asked just briefly if I was in the process I said yeah paperwork confusion with immigration but should be good to go within 30 days .
We were stamped in no issues .
Now china was a fuckin mess . But we shouldn't have to worry after our non O comes in . My husband's visa is good for 2 years .
Man I left america because eod the BS ... Now there riots in the streets . Bringing the army in against the people .
And now I've been seeing a little bit about Thailand and Cambodia .... Idk what articles are real and what aren't so not even sure what I'm supposed to be looking out for .....
Anonymous participant if there is no contact I'd assume you can just file through the courts . If he isn't a part of their life and doesn't want to be then it should be easy .
I have two kids from another person and before we moved here to Thailand I had to ask their dad for permission . He agreed at first . But then when I didn't agree to meet alone due to domestic violence in the past ( he went to prison for four years due to violence on me and the kids ) anyways . He then said no . I had to take him to court . He then didn't show up to any court date . It took five months for the judge to agree for us to move . And then she's the one who gave me the certified court paper to leave .
I had to have that paper to get passports as well .
My kids are 13 and 11 and I've had sole legal physical custody of them since 2014 .
He never paid child support didn't have a relationship with them either .
But by law you still have to ask permission . And you will have to show that proof to immigration .
I even had to show the documents at the airport because my husband's last name is different than the older two kids .
It's a lot of work . But I'd say contact the court house in your area they can help you
yup that's what was so upsetting for us . It's like the places pick n choose who they want to have what . We went to Cambodia and told that . We went to an agent in Bangkok told the same thing.
But then heard stories of families actually getting by with just the main DTV holder .
We can afford it but don't wanna transfer investments and all that .
