Morning all, got the email I didn’t want today regarding visitor visa to the uk for my gf, refused.

Anybody been refused and had luck second time round ?

I’ll probably use an agency this time so looking for recommendations. Any good agencies that have a good success rate, let me know

Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Is it advisable to go 14 days in advance for your 60 covid extension?

I'm in Phuket and have heard you lose the remaining days you have left on your current visa(exemption in my case).

Also I've heard of some friends having trouble obtaining there's recently in bangkok and actually being denied. The reason given was that their home country did not have any travel restrictions currently and they could fly home. Kinda freaked me out😬

Any experiences with this?

There are a lot of stories popping up of people being denied ED-visas to study at language schools. Are there any best bets right now? Does it matter which language school you go to or which consulate you apply at? Would you avoid language-school visas altogether at this point? Would be interesting to hear some responses.

Seeking advice regarding overland crossings. My partner and I are traveling around SEA and get the 30 day visa exemption every time we come into Thailand. My partner tried to cross into Thailand by land for the 3rd time in a year (not consecutively) and was denied access at the border (he had to go back to Siem Reap and FLY into Bangkok instead). We both plan to rock climb Thakek, Laos for 2 months. If a medical emergency happens, the quickest way to Bangkok is to cross the border to Nakhom Phanom (takes 40 mins) and fly to Bangkok. Now that we've learned we cannot cross by land again, I'm scared for our time rock climbing. In case of medical emergency, we would have to take a 7 hour bus ride to Vientiane and fly from there to Bangkok. That is a scary thought if a true emergency happens. Has anyone had experience with this rule or getting around it? Any advice appreciated!
