My DTV Visa Experience (Approved in 3 Days – No Agent, No Hassle)

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience getting the Digital Nomad/Remote Worker (DTV) visa — especially for anyone feeling overwhelmed or confused. This group was a huge help while I was applying, so here’s a full breakdown of what worked for me (even when I went against some common advice).

Application Timeline:

• Applied online: April 7th

• Re-submitted extra documents: April 8th

• Visa approved: April 10th

• Visa type: 5-Year Digital Nomad (DTV)

• No agent used — I did everything myself online

A Few Key Things That Worked for Me:

• I stayed in Da Nang while waiting but selected Hanoi as my immigration office. I’d read this could be an issue, but it wasn’t — the visa was approved without a problem.

• I wouldn’t book two weeks of accommodation next time… the process was much faster than expected!

Payment Problems (and the Fix):

The system kept failing during the payment stage — it would freeze or just load endlessly. Even when my banking app sent me a confirmation notification, the payment still didn’t go through.

Solution: I turned off my VPN, and it worked immediately. Worth trying if you’re stuck.

Uploading Documents:

The system only allows one file, so I had to combine documents (like payslips and bank statements) into a single PDF.

When you preview the uploaded file, it only shows the first page, which made me panic — but the full upload was there.

Documents I Provided:

• A work contract showing my salary and remote status

• A letter from the company director confirming my job is fully remote

• One month of bank statements at first (despite hearing you need two)

I’d read two months were required, but I only uploaded March — and it was accepted. The funds had been transferred in February but weren’t shown initially.

Extra Info Requested:

The next morning, I received an email asking for:

• Payslips (no number specified)

• Company registration documents (needed to be provided by the employer)

So I uploaded a new PDF with:

• Two months of payslips (not a huge amount — around £2,000 across both months, which didn’t match the salary listed in my contract, but it didn’t seem to matter)

• Company registration document

My Cover Letter (for reference):

“I am writing to confirm that [applicant name] is employed as a Project Manager on a fully remote basis. Their role includes managing product development projects, coordinating with suppliers, and identifying and engaging with prospective distributors worldwide. All responsibilities are carried out entirely remotely, with no obligation to attend any physical office premises.”

(That was it. Short and clear.)

Final Thoughts:

• The process was completely online, and I never had to go into an immigration office.

• No interviews, no calls, no drama — just a bit of document combining and some patience.

• I wouldn’t worry if your documents aren’t perfect or your bank statement doesn’t show a huge amount or if you need to transfer the money the month before… — mine didn’t match up exactly, and it still worked.

Key Tips:

• Turn off your VPN if the payment portal is glitching.

• Combine your documents into one PDF for uploading.

• Don’t panic if the preview only shows the first page — it’s normal.

• Even if you hear “you must do XYZ” — your case might still be fine. Trust the process.

Hope this helps someone out there — feel free to ask if you’ve got questions!

Hello everyone I just applied for thai visa it's submitted processing but pending payment. I have not paid anything. I selected for single entry but it shows option was selected for multiple entry and fees showing for multiple entry. What do I do know? There's no option to delete or cancel these applications. How do I tell them it's for single entry and I want to make payment for single entry. I wanted to delete all and do it from the first again but there's no option. Please help.

I am a Bangladeshi applicant currently in the process of obtaining a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) via the medical route. However, I am facing difficulties in completing the visa fee payment through the online system. I have attempted multiple times, but the website seems to have technical issues.

I have already reached out to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bangladesh via email and phone, but unfortunately, I have not received a response.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on alternative payment methods or any steps I should take to resolve this issue. If there is any other way to proceed, such as paying through a different platform, bank transfer, or in-person payment, kindly let me know.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi everyone,

Earlier this week I submitted my application online through www.thaievisa.go.th from Australia. The application was submitted okay but it will not accept any payment, I have tried multiple cards over the last few days. Has anyone had this issue or have advice? Is there someone I can contact?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had experience using a Visa card to pay on the eVisa website? After entering the security code, the amount was deducted from my card, but I was automatically logged out. When I logged back in, my application status still showed 'Pending payment,' even though the money was already deducted. Does this mean the payment went through, or did the embassy not receive it? I'd really appreciate any advice!
