I had planned same in March 2020 to exit and enter to automatically extend for one year but soon after all travel had been stranded so had to go through normal extention route. I guess it would be more risky to travel and return back and especially while other nearby country borders still closed
Thank you everyone for your prompt response., coincidentally I bumped into immigration officer while walking to Tesco and he clarified that there is no grace period and it would be considered as overstay with penalty of THB 500 per day! And he mentioned grace period is applicable only for 90 days reporting! Too bad and stringent that no one or two week grace period is allowed after expiry, especially considering OA visa extend requires two months balance maint and insurance requirement, these people need to be little considerate! Anyways, thanks!
55 the issue now is that instead of 1 day delay over 90days now it be forced 5 days delay because immigration has 4 days holiday they will now open only on Monday! Luckily just on the borderline before 7 days grace period is over..
Whilst O is issued for many other purpose, but to the best of my knowledge, both O or OA visas can be issued for Retirement. And if you are unlucky and have OA then you have are forced to take Health Insurance
No I did not complete any forms. I just gave them above documents. Immigration Officer printed two completed forms with my details on it, and I just signed it..
