Whilst O is issued for many other purpose, but to the best of my knowledge, both O or OA visas can be issued for Retirement. And if you are unlucky and have OA then you have are forced to take Health Insurance
No I did not complete any forms. I just gave them above documents. Immigration Officer printed two completed forms with my details on it, and I just signed it..
I renewed my OA 1 year visa yesterday. Immigration officer himself was confused whether to start date from yesterday or from 27th Sept. when he asked his lady supervisor she told to start from yesterday itself not 27th. So you see each immigration office might be taking decision in accordance to their understanding
But new people who wants advise won't know to ask Mod team to re-open the discussion. I suggest it could be kept open for at least for 24 hrs. I too was unhappy tht you closed discussion too early. Moreover you did not let people talk about insurance requirement for OA visa, while health insurance topic is directly related and critical part of visa renewal matter!
For OA visa they need bank pass book proving you have 800k for last two months plus you need health insurance. At the most they will ask for letter from bank ..thats it. This is Thai Govt rule and if you satisfy this 2 condition they cannot deny one year renewal. One yr fee is 1900 THB. There is no any other type of extension required. There is no Exit required for renewal of OA visa.
