Never financially commit to anything in a short time frame....(such as you only have 3 weeks remaining on your stamp, pay this pay that etc).

As already said you can fly out and back again into Thailand and have more time.

I know what you meant, but I believe it's not necessary in your case.

Same for me when I came to live here initially with extended family.

The immigration were not interested when I attempted to give them the address.

If it remains an issue per say maybe your friend just books a hotel for one night and you guys can go out in BKK for the evening?

Then OP will have to get Landlord to complete TM30 for friend staying with tennant within 24 hrs of arrival.

The bank letter is done on the day you go and collect your year's statement to confirm all is on order.

Speak to the organ grinder and not the monkey at your BKK Bank who knows what they are doing.

This is a standard agreement between all banks and immigration.

Just ask someone at BKK who knows what they are doing.

You want a years statement showing 12XFTT transfers of 65k +.

This normally takes a week and costs a 100 Baht or so.

Hospital letter from doctor stating bedridden inpatient and unable to attend Immigration.

I imagine a power of attorney for someone to act on your behalf?

However I recall immigration down south setting a bit of a precedent recently; by attending hospital to assist Farangs, who had been injured and hospitalised due to a boating accident.

I suppose it depends on how far the OP lives from either BKK or CM to access VFS Global easily.

It's up to him if he wants to pay someone to complete the process for him and how soon he needs a new passport.

I completed mine at VFS last week and was told up to 11 weeks.

Mark Jacob (Marks Sending Machine) posted recently that it was taking about 7 weeks.
