Good luck, hope you get back to see your Thai family soon.

Since the passing of the Thai PDPA Data Protection Act you are entitled to see what records Immigration holds on you and have them corrected.

After 5 years the "blacklisting" should be expunged.

Send a written request to Thai Immigration Head Office in BKK?

There is no bilateral agreement between the UK Police Forces and the Royal Thai Police Immigration to provide this information. Each country has its own Data Protection and Disclosure Rules.

@Jae ******
I had no problems using Google translate, showing them my licence and asking for a temporary Thai licence.

They already had an "idiots guide" for Farang of the required documentation.

Just go for it.

You have to contact your local Department of Land Transport (DLT).

They are very helpful and will explain what is required, documentation etc.

You could ask the US Embassy for clarification.

But as a general rule, an emergency travel document (Passport) only entitles you to travel back to your country of origin on an agreed travel itinerary.

Banking acronym:-

FTT = Foreign Telegraphic Transfer.

Even using Wise and BKK Bank errors are occurring and transfers are not being flagged as FTT; necessary for the income method.

Some IO's are okay as long as you can show the transfer and receipt others are not so flexible and insist on FTT.

FTT is the rule....

I think it all depends on how long your overstay was?

Also depends on what Immigration records have been entered onto the computer regarding the overstay.(A criminal offence in Thailand).

And the discretion of the Immigration officer dealing with you upon your return?
