Hello, hope everyone is wellšŸ¤— First of, my apologies if the same question has been asked before.

I will give birth in Phuket very soon and as far as I can understand (CMIIW) with a Thai birth certificate my child can stay here without a visa until he's 15? (again CMIIW pls). my question would be if there's any guardian or medical visa that I can get to stay longer because Iā€™m now on exempt entry visa from border bounce and I believe I could make extension for another 30 days but it would be best for me to stay with my newborn at all times so Iā€™m looking for a longer stay permit.

PS: me and my partner are both foreigners and not married yet so I cannot piggyback on his work visašŸ˜…

Thanks in advancešŸ™šŸ½

I got a particularly bad dose of covid 3 months back which left me bedridden for 5 days and house bound for another 5. Just wondering what happens if you are on a 30 day exempt entry and you come down with covid on say, day 28. You'd have to get a PCR test as evidence I would imagine which would mean a lot of public exposure, and you'd hardly be able to front up to immigration for a visa extension.I have taken out insurance that includes sickness and trip disruption, but that's not going to help with overstay. (I turn 70 while away)

Okay, so I applied for a student visa and I had to leave the country for a family emergency. The language school emailed me and said I was approved after I came back into Thailand. Of course, I told them that I left and they told me that I have to start the student visa process all over again. I am a dumbass, I should have asked them. So I paid the 2000 baht to reapply. But this time, the education ministry might not give me an approval. Please let me know what you think and I might have to have a plan B to stay in the country if I do not get approved. Thank you in advance.

Has anyone not complied with the OA/OX visa conditions (insurance/banked money) and had the visa cancelled? I am considering changing from this visa to visa exempt entry (Australian Passport). Would it be possible to make this happen at the point of (airport) entry?

Hi all, my daughter, boyfriend and their daughter (then 1 year and 6 months) come to visit me in a couple of months. All Dutch so enter with no visa on 30 days exempt entry. Hotelbooking for 2 or 3 nights in BKK and their flight back home is no problem. Only on holiday 2-3 weeks. You think it's wise that they also have cash (2x about 600ā‚¬ ?) with them ? First time Thailand ever.

Thanks !!

I am looking to fly from Vientiane to Bangkok (DMK) to get a 30 day exempt entry in Thailand (I don't really fancy obtaining a Thai visa in Vientiane unless I have to and have used my two 30 day land entries already this year). Does anyone have experience of doing this? Specifically, am I likely to need an onward flight out of Thailand in order to be allowed to board my flight to Bangkok (DMK)? Thoughts appreciated!
