I think I read Brandon telling someone that we weren’t even allowed on Thai Embassy property, but that was re to a question about an affidavit of income, not sure if it applies to your situation. And Siam Legal was the first to come to mind, but that’s only because they do the most advertising, I have no personal knowledge of them. And the deck does seem to be stacked against us over here. Probably rightly so, or it would become like quickie marts and a lot of landscaping companies in the US. Good luck with it though.
Wow, Dorothy, you’re gonna be pretty ‘put off’, to put it mildly, when you see how easy it is. The figures they gave you were ridiculous in my opinion. I wouldn’t use them again. And they sound like they don’t know what they’re doing. You’ll be fine doing it on your own though.
And if I recall from my Non O, the clock started when it was issued, not when I got here. So check with others on here, they know more than I do, but the December 21 date is when it would up, no matter when you got here. If you arrived on December 1, you would have less than 3 weeks before having to leave, unless you get the retirement extension before then. Is that how you understood it? Good luck selling your house. I just sold mine a few months ago, and it’s no fun. A huge relief when you’re 10,000 miles away with no bills and no responsibilities though!😁
Hi, Helen. I didn’t think we were able to get affidavits of income anymore. I’m here now on a Non O and would gladly done that. That does apply to US citizens as well. I have 2

weeks left on my Non O, will that be enough time? I kind of gave up on the $800k baht, as least temporarily, when the USD took a nosedive. I was gonna reapply when I returned, but I’d rather do it now so I have the account when I get back. I make over the $65,000 baht from my pension. Thanks.
they still offer those? Seems like I read when I applied for my Non O in July they weren’t available anymore. That was first choice. I could be mistaken, but the Non was pretty easy to get. What is the main difference in them? Same requirements? And could I apply in a neighboring country? My 90 days is in a few weeks. Thanks.
it’s hard to book a month sight unseen on AirBnB. I’ve real a lot of neg reviews from people that didn’t get what they expected based on pics, and you can’t cancel. Roll of the dice I guess. It would def save a lot of money though. These 2000+ baht per night hotel rooms do add up. Even Agoda, as good as their prices are, you just don’t know what you’re getting into. You read reviews and wonder how people are talking about the SAME hotel, with such contradicting opinions.
US. I want to try and get a bank account on my current Non O and have the money already transferred when I return on my new one. If that’s possible with 2 weeks left on my current one. And that $800,000 baht got a lot more expensive with the dive the USD exchange has taken recently.😡
that’s how I got my current one back home…that’s the ThaiEVisa.com site right? Will be any smoother since I have been approved previously and very recently?
Hi Stuart. Quick question. My Non O is about to expire and I'm headed to a neighboring country for a few weeks then want to return. Can I get another Non O there or does it have to be in my home country? If I go to Pattaya with 2

weeks left on my Non O, would I be able to open a bank account in advance of getting a new Non O the retirement visa extension? Thanks, you're always very helpful.
What is the allure of Vietnam? Is it because it's close? My 90 days is up in a couple weeks and I'm looking into traveling there, the Phillipines or maybe Singapore before returning to Thailand. Been trying to research online, but so many conflicting opinions. I was sold on the Phillipines because of almost everybody speaking English and more 'westernized', but I'm reading a lot about crime and how run down it is. Still doing recon but would appreciate your input.
I'm on a non O now and will leave before it expires in 3 weeks. If im I'm Singapore or the Philippines I can get another Non O visa for my return, or it has to be done in my home country?
