I should have been more specific, in every state you can drive for a short period of time on a foreign license and that period varies from state to state
even if that is the case it’s $150 you really don’t have to pay as most folks leave the country from time to time and it resets and there’s no check upon departure
Honestly there’s no real reason to do 90 day reporting at all…it resets if you leave the country and the fine is only 2k if you don’t do it, be that 90 days or 9000 days…there are no other consequences from not reporting
lots and lots of foreign qualified blue collar types work in Thailand doing specialists jobs…the caveat and reason for this is that foreigners w these types of skills AND Thai language ability are needed as trainers and liaisons to the Thai workforce
