However, i know about the Covid insurance requirement.

just one question, is the process in chiang mai easy for getting the Non-O visa?

Late i heard was that only bangkok could do it, but that was a few years back

James Miller i have a non Thai wife and child.

Currently im in new zealand, thus thats why i'm thinking of getting Non"O" visa while here. (Wife is Korean)

mid September we fly to korea,

I will stay only 2-3weeks, then i go to Thailand.

Wife and baby will follow in 2-3 months, mean time she will sort out her required paperwork(more questions on that latter)

non O for retirement, my visa expired 6 months back while outside of thailand

yes, i have extension of stay, i have renewed it three times. (O-A)

Thats good news that i can extend the visa at a thai consulate.

What requirements do they require? In thailand i use the 800,000 in the bank

I'm interested in why you went to Vientiane last week to obtain your Non o visa, as it seem you could have done it in Chiang Mai?

Im probable missing something here.
