ORIGINAL POSTERIs it recommended to set up a retirement Visa (NON-O-A) before leaving my home country (USA) or to come into Thailand on a tourist TR Visa and then transition into the NON-O-A once within the country? TIA.

ORIGINAL POSTERHi. Wondering if you can clarify different processes for getting Non Imm O for Retirement or a Non Imm O-A for retirement. Why would someone apply for an O-A when it requires Health Insurance (Thai Insurers 80k - 100k + depending on age)?
