my understanding, correct me if im wrong. A non o visa which the bank requires as a minimum to open an account lasts fir 3 months and in that 3 months one can apply for a marriage or retirement visa correct. ?

cant get a non o within Thailand without the 400 or 800k in a Thai Bank. Merry go round

VOA and exempt i thought the same thing. My bad. Yes visa exempt. My passport says tourist visa which will not allow a Thai Bank account. I really need a Thai Bank account.

Sorry to highjack this post. Are you saying if Im in Thailand on a VOA and fly to Laos I would be able to apply for a NON O without a Thai Bank account?
