Ange Morris You can still be asked to provide the 'proof ofs'. Around the beginning of last year, a friend of mine did a similar thing. He had a bit of history, but had been home to Australia and applied for a METV (no problem with that). He arrived in Bangkok, stayed 60 days, extended 30 days, then did a run to Cambodia to activate a second 60 days. He was refused entry at the border and had to either fly back in or fly to Laos and cross that border (can't remember which, but he was defo refused). Just be aware it's not a golden ticket... Be careful where you go to activate another 60 days. Vientiane, Laos still seems to be most user friendly. Also, carry proof of address in Thai, some sort of onward flight, and 20,000b cash in whatever currency as they do occasionally ask. Even with that it's all down to the IO discretion and if they feel like it, they can make things difficult for you.

Turned mine around in 7 days from Bangkok... Couldn't believe it after the 3 month wait a couple of years prior. (Due to a backlog and staff cuts, change of office, summer holidays etc etc)

OK, so if I rush up there now and explain my mistake, that I thought I had to go before the 7th of July, does my employer need to be present?

No, because after that stamp, my employer went back the next day and I they put the slip into the passport giving me until July the 7th. My employer told me I need to go back, I assumed, to report before that date.

Well, it's got my old address on it, and something I'm trying to do requires that I get a copy of the owners house book. Which needs to match the address on my permit.

Not entirely true. My gf had her application processed and ok'd within 7 days. But it is cutting it a bit fine. I'd advise the OP to go through the online application asap, pay and get an appointment for her. Then get everything together asap.

Someone marked my passport main page with a black marker. Got pulled aside flying back into the UK because it wouldn't scan, but it wasn't a problem...
